The Malcesine area offers plenty of options for those looking for campsites with good access to the lake. Many of the camping areas nearest to Malcesine are on the northern side of the town near the sailing and windsurfing areas on the way towards Torbole.
But the town of Brenzone sul Garda to the south of Malcesine, and the settlements in between the two, also offer a number of options for those looking to pitch a tent or park a campervan.
The Baitone Alpino Nature Village offers camping with pitches, as well as rental caravans, bungalows, mobile homes, apartments and a hotel. The complex is located midway between Malcesine and Torbole at the northern end of Lake Garda and also has a restaurant and pizzeria as well as a small grocery store on the site near the lake shore.
Camping Azzurro is a small family campsite located three kilometres to the north of Malcesine on the other side of the main road from Campagnola beach. It offers pitches for campers and campervans as well as holiday apartments, along with a rooftop panorama bar and storage and a small workshop for windsurfers.
Camping Bommartini offers pitches right at the lake shore. There are 27 campsites in total (lakeside emplacements at a supplement) surrounded by olive trees. Facilities include showers, toilets, and power supply. The campsite and nearby hotel accommodation is located close to a sailing and surfing school to the north of Malcesine.
As the name suggests, Camping Campagnola is located near the beach of the same name just over two kilometres to the north of Malcesine. The campsite offers Wifi and power supply at all pitches and the amenities include a washing machine and a waste disposal for mobile homes. There is a bistro and small supermarket at the terrace square, with popular table tennis equipment.
Camping Claudia is situated just off the main road along the lake near one of the main windsurfing areas and beaches to the north of Malcesine. The campsite, only 30 metres from the lake, offers showers and toilets, a kiosk and bar. Facilities also include a children's play area and table tennis equipment.
Camping Lombardi is also located in the Campagnola area to the north of Malcesine but is set a little way back from the lake in a quiet green area shaded with olive trees. There are 82 camping pitches over an area of 11,000 square metres and amenities include a bar/café, a mini-market and a children's play area.
Camping Martora is located near Campagnola beach and the Sailing Club to the north of Malcesine on the other side of the main road from Lake Garda. The campsite offers 70 pitches and seven apartments.
Camping Priori is one of the few campsites that is located within easy walking distance of the centre of Malcesine. It is a small operation with just 12 pitches not far from the famous Malcesine castle and the lakefront. The owners also offer holiday apartments of various sizes.
Camping Tonini is another of the campsites clustered to the north of Malcesine near the popular windsurfing and sailing area of the lake. The pitches are terraced and shaded by olive trees. The site offers a small supermarket, a coffee shop and a children's playground, as well as beach volleyball and table tennis facilities.
Aquacamp is situated just outside the town of Assenza di Brenzone on the shoreline of Lake Garda. The nearby sandy beach is accessed by a tunnel under the main road and offers access to the sailing and windsurfing club as well as to beach volleyball and soccer. In addition to the pitches on the campsite, alternative accommodation is also available in caravans and bungalows of various sizes.
Camping Denis offers pitches suitable for caravans, camper vans and tents as well as mobile home rentals, five rooms and three apartments for rent. The campsite is located in between Castello and Macugnano near the Lavesino beach, just off the main road between Torri del Benaco and Malcesine and has its own popular beach bar.
Camping Monja is situated near the small Acquafresca beach and sailing centre on the land side of the main road which runs along the lake shoreline.
